American English Coonhound: Lean, muscular and sleek, the American English Coonhound was bred originally to hunt racoons by night and red fox by day. Considered one of the fastest coonhounds, the breed has come to be specialized mostly in night hunts on racoons, and is sometimes referred to as the Redtick Coonhound.
