A noble coursing hound struck from the classic Greyhound template, the Deerhound was bred to pursue and bring down wild red deer, which were significantly larger than the deer we are used to in the US. Both gentle and regal, the Deerhound is also agile, quick-witted, athletic and has a playful sense of humor.
