WHIPPET

The “Poor Man’s Racehorse”, the Whippet is an elegant, agile, fleet-footed athlete. A robust, low-maintenance dog, Whippets were developed by North-country coal miners in England, who used them for dog racing and rabbit hunting. Whippets need for speed is well exercised in many lure coursing venues.
